Hi there! I absolutely love this little hat; it's made of the most adorable kelly green straw like material and is covered in millinery fruits and trim. There seems to be a mixture of plums or grapes, peaches, olives (?), and flowers. I believe they are hard plastic...but am not sure. Was this style popular in the 50s, or even late 40s? I'm having a hard time locating info on the label. Any info appreciated, thanks!

Yes, 1950s for sure. The straw looks like a type of Swiss braid, and could be natural with a coating, synthetic straw, or a blend of the 2. You can call the fruit "composition" as that covers a range of materials used to make these cute little fruits. They used coatings over plaster, plastic, paper mache', glass, etc.
