Help dating jacket-new pics

This is a swing style jacket, lightweight wool blend with a nice heavy satin lining. The hood is really lovely and full -- like the French lieutenant's woman There are shoulder pads and the single shell button at the neck. There is this red bit of fabric stapled inside, I assume an old dry cleaner label or marker.

What date would you put? Late 40s? Any other comments about it. It's really lovely, but is leaving a bit at a loss on description.

Thanks! Elizabeth

Lovely cape. Can you turn the photos so they are not sideways? We cannot tell the silhouette of the cape or the length from the sideways photos. From the close ups of the weave of the wool fabric, my guess is 1960s to 1970s. Can you show us the shoulder pads?

I have no idea why those went sideways! So sorry! Here is the shoulder pad, between the lining and the outer part.
Also, just to clarify, it is a jacket rather than a cape. Nice big sleeves with no cuff.

I would say late 40s. If the wool fabric lines the sleeve cuffs fairly deeply, you might cuff them up—They look long enough for that. Very pretty coat!
