Help dating Leslie Faye Dress

It's a darling dress; a photo of the label would really help with the dating, though. I've seen Leslie Fays from the 60s, but not sure if they were around as early as the 50s. Your dress is looking 70s to me, but the label would give a very good idea.

Hey, nice dress.

I have a mid-late 50s Leslie Fay dress, and I think they were manufacturing then... That great print does put me in mind of mid-century interior decorating (in a good way!)

I've got a couple of really lovely Lesley Fays from the late '40s and early '50s.

Tiffers, if you compare your label to the label resource you might get a good idea of the date - personally I would say 'fifties, but not a "swing dress". What fabric is it? It looks really nice.

This 1954 ad for Leslie Fay describes the fabric as a "lustrous surah print by Renoir".

Thanks everyone. I did look up the label and it appears it is from the 50's. I am not sure about the fabric. It is a stiff weave like taffeta or organza, but has no gloss or sheen. Do you think it is more of a day dress or party dress?

The length looks pretty short for 50s. I think either the hem was shortened or it is from the early 60s.
