help dating little leather purse (1970s?) and is the handle Lucite?

Hi everyone,
This purse struck me as 70s but I'm not really sure. It's throwing me off a bit for some reason so thought I'd throw it out there. There's no label and it's lined in a black fabric that I've mostly seen in older purses.

I would say it’s just a plastic handle. Not lucite plastic.
