I have a men's vest made by Zinman Furs. As with shoes, I am terrible with dating mens clothing and was hoping someone could help me with the era of this piece

From my google search of other vintage pieces from this maker, it looks like they used this same label over a period of decades so I am a little confused.

Also do you have any idea of what kind of "fur" this is? I'm thinking its cow or *sob* horse, but am unsure.

Great vest! I am stumped, but at least the label says 'since 1920' so it can't be before then! lol
Actually, I wonder if it isn't part of the late 50s town and country look for gentlemen - it went with tweed jackets and loafers - poorboy caps and sports cars... The leather piping trimming the calfskin with the houndstooth lining also looks very Bonnie Cashin and it was the late 50s - early 60s when she was doing all that leather piping edged clothing. Anyway, that would be my guess.

I am quite sure however, that the fur is calfskin (a byproduct of veal).
