Help dating mid-1990s Issey Miyake Jacket

Hello there,

I recently acquired this grey Issey Miyake jacket. It was listed as belonging to the spring/summer 1996 collection, however, I’ve looked through still images and watched video footage of this collection several times, and this just doesn’t seem accurate. I do think it may be from ca. 1996, however, but perhaps another line? It does not have a Pleats Please label. The singer Jessye Norman owned and wore the same jacket over the course of several years, and the earliest image of her in it that I found is from March of 1996. I’ve done a lot of research, but perhaps there’s something I’m missing that someone here might be able to spot. Many thanks in advance for your help!
