Help Dating 'pinup' swimsuit with piping... 40s or 50s?

Hello,
I have this suit without a label.
It doesn't have a 'built in' bra, just a cotton lining in the bust. The 'gusset' is lined with a piece of what looks like rayon. There is stretch to the fabric.
Any thoughts on dating and would you describe this as a 'bombshell pinup' suit?
Thanks alot in advance.
Lauren

My guessing it is not 194os as the only ones I have really ever seen from the 40s still have the modesty panel in the front. It's hard to tell from the pics but it looks like that swimsuit has a more "modern" shape. I have also seen 1950s swimsuits with the button closure on the straps. But that's just my opinion!

Thanks Gals!
In learning about vintage swimwear (my new obsession) I see that many of the 1950s have the built in bra/pin up/structured look whereas the 40s seem to have that more 'athletic' old 'wool' roaring twenties look which is why I thought this might have been an earlier one. Did the ruched look only emerge in the 50s?

That's adorable! I'm not very knowledgeable on swimsuits, but my first impression is 50s, too. I wouldn't say it's because of the ruching, but more just the overall shape and look of it.
