Help dating Pioneer Wear pony jacket/info needed on care label

Hi there,

I have this awesome deadstock Pioneer Wear fringed jacket and I could use some help dating it.

It's made of faux leather, but the tag says "pony". Despite the fringe, it doesn't necessarily strike me as 70s. The tag size is "10" and it fits like a cropped XS/S.

The tag doesn't look like 70's Pioneer Wear labels that I've come across, and I know the company has been around longer, although I really can't find too much info on the company.

It has a care label, though. Which is what confused me. So generally I'd be so quick to say it's post '72 then, but I guess I just need some convincing... or were more detailed care labels added to only particular garments pre '72?

Thanks in advance!

Another vote for '60s - although care labels were a requirement from the '70s onwards, some manufacturers included them earlier. Prior to the '70s most garments had the information on the swing tag which was removed of course.
