Help dating purse and typing the fiber....1960s?

Hello,
No label on this and am wondering what fiber this is woven from...it's got a slight shimmer sheen to it. Also wondering if there is a real term for the handles which appear to be 'bendable' with a woven fiber around them that i think is the same fiber used for the rest of the purse.
Also, does it look earlier or later than my best guess of 60s?

It looks 60s to me, Lauren. I believe it is raffia straw.
