Help Dating Red Suede Peep Toe Wedges

Hello Everyone,
I hope you're all well! I was wondering if you could help me date these deep red suede wedges. When I first laid eyes on them, I thought they were reminiscent of the 40s because of the peep-toe. But part of me questioned that right away. Upon researching similar styles online, I'm now leaning towards the 1970s. Just as an aside, was suede used much in the 1940s?

Also, I am a size 6 or 6.5 in shoes and these 7.5s fits me perfectly. I don't know if that's any indication of their age. Lastly, I can't make out the maker. I can barely make out the letters N and A (which you can't see)as the last letters in the name and the word "original" underneath.

So any ideas in terms of their date? Thanks in advance!

I'd date them as late '70s, around 1978-79.

Great colour! And yes, suede was used quite a bit in the '40s but '40s wedge heels are different to yours, with the little nip out of them, it's a quite distinctive late '70s shoe style.

Thanks everyone for your expertise! I'm learning so much from all of you! I'm actually going to keep these. I've actually been looking for this style shoe for a long time. Thank you so much for your interest, Anne!
