Help dating Roy Rogers costume using the dry cleaner's tag?

Hi there,
I'm trying to date this Roy Rogers costume. Unlike some outfits I've seen during my research, this one has no tags. Each piece does, however have the identical dry cleaning number pinned to them. These pins and tags are before my time. When were they in use?

Adorable. The show ran from 1951 to 1957 but items were popular for a long time.

Thanks! I wish I had more info. The sets that I've seen have neat tags sewn inside.
