Help Dating Royal Corps of Transport Vest with Emblem and Animal pins

Hi Everyone, I have this vest with a Royal Corps of Transport crest and a whole bunch of brass animal pins....rhinos, tigers etc. Any thoughts on dating or if this is someones keepsake and not part of an official uniform? The Corps was formed in 1965 and disbanded in 1993.

I couldn't find a vest as part of a uniform. Is there any tag that informs? What design is on the buttons?
 
Thanks Trish! No tags and buttons are plain. I guess it must be someones home made memorabilia.
