I have had trouble finding info on the "Royal" boot....I believe they may have been produced by the Dominion Rubber Company Ltd (Uniroyal's Canadian 'branch' merged a few times).....wikipedia says they produced footwear among other things after the late 1920s.....anyway, wondering if there are any clues to the age of these boots....

no stamps or info on the insides.....they have a very tight ankle 'entry'.....

  2. I found a few references to Royal Red Ball boots from the 70s/80s but this 1977 Field & Stream ad shows a pair that look remarkably like yours.

Red Ball was bought by LaCrosse in 1996.

Your boots say Made In Korea, so maybe if you can find out when Red Ball boots were manufacturing in Korea it might help date them? They also look similar to Hunter originals (through the foot area). I remember Hunter used to be quite slim through the leg and ankle back in the 80s. Hunter was owned by Uniroyal for a while.
