Hi everyone,

I hope this is posted in the right place, it's the first time I've asked you to share your vast knowledge, I recently bought this shoes and was told they are from around the 1940's, they are made from canvas like material with a leather front, the inside label says 'Parkway Triangle Brand'. On the inside on the side of the shoe is an imprint into the leather saying 'fabricated living' and some numbers which I assume relate to the design of the shoe as they're defiantly not sizes. I have looked for a size on these and can't find one.

Here's a link to some photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/61607187@N03/ any help would be greatly appreciated in dating them

Thanks in advance! xxxx

I'm not the shoe expert, but I agree with Mary Jane. They look 30s - very stylish!

Its hard to say because although that style of toe and heel was established in the mid-late 1930s, it existed into the early 40s, and because of the materials used, I think they might be early wartime shoes made of non-rationed materials. So everyone is right!
