Help dating silk jacket

I'm hoping you can help me date this silk jacket. It has small shoulder pads and the back is gathered. The buttons look like they could be Bakelite but i can't be sure. I'm thinking late 30s or early 40s but would love your input to pin it down. Many thanks.

Can you please show us close ups of the buttons and fabric, and what sort of silk is it? Are there any labels? Thank you. Can you also tell what the shoulder pads are stuffed with? It could be early but it also looks early '90s on the interior shot, where you can see the shoulder pads through the lining.

Looks like little seams or darts on the inside elbow areas? I am correct in what I think I'm seeing or is it a shadow from the outer material?

I'm sorry I've only just checked back in and seen these replies.
There are no labels it is handmade by someone who definitely knew what they were doing. I'm not sure what kind of silk it is, how can I tell? I'm not sure what the shoulder pads are stuffed with but they feel quite stiff, rather than spongy. I'm sure it is not from the 90s, I can tell from handling it.
Those are darts on the inside elbow area, not shadows.

Hi Emma! I see late 30s. It looks like silk or art silk (rayon). You could try a burn test. I'm really bad at these but maybe someone will chime in here to tell you what to 'smell'.
