Hello All,
Just wondering if you'd put this on the late side of 60s or into 1970s....also the fabric is new to me, feels synthetic but I don't know what to call it.
Thanks a lot,
Lauren

Looks like it could be nylon, but not sure. I had a sleeveless sweater, vest-type shell top (definitely 60s) that looked very much like the bodice, except in a cranberry color.

yes the tops were very popular in the late 50s and 60s. i've had them in lemon and powder blue and i have a feeling that is a 60s top sewn to a later skirt to make a new outfit. the skirt isn't right for 60s - it would have been sewn together differently, probably with the white top inside the waistband of the skirt and a much higher waist. the scalloped edging on the top shows its a top on its own. look inside to see how its been sewn together? any labels? the skirt looks 80s polyester but the top would probably be a cotton mix.
