Help dating this American People White Denim

Hello! I found these white denim pants at the thrift store today and when I got home I noticed they had a Talon zipper and vintage tags. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the brand American People and would love help dating this garment! The rn is 39023 which seems to be registered to a company called Don Shapiro Industries, Inc. out of El Paso Texas. I love knowing the history of the garments and brands that I wear so any info would be greatly appreciated!

I also just realized the bottom of the American People tag says something that I can’t completely make out since it is under the stitching, but I think it says Rampage Clothing Co.?
