Into the void

hey everyone. I don't normally pick up bags as I am not much of a bag person unless one really strikes me. Anyways I got this at a garage sale today and the lady told me it was 1940s just want to confirm with y'all. Also what would I list this textile design as? It's very peculiar as I can't really distinguish what is going on with the scene. It is a repetitive design and alternates the pattern right side up and then upside down. It also appears to be printed a woven cloth with vinyl on top. No tags or labels on the bag. Thanks everyone!

To me this looks most like 60s-70s. The colors, materials, and nostalgic-looking print are very 1970s to my eye. I don't know exactly what to say the print is about...I think it looks basically like Victorian household items, but there may be something more specific. I believe you're right that it is covered in a woven cloth with clear vinyl over the top, with a white vinyl lining.
