Here I am again, stuck dating another purse! I have been going round in circles on google and other similar examples (hardly any) never feature a date.

Any ideas as as to it's date?

Thanks everyone in advance & thanks for all the help you have given me to date :)

I have a really good handbag book I can take a look in, it may help to show closer shots of the clasp, hinge and mesh if you can get good focus on them. The chain is probably a replacement, it may not even have had a chain there before.

Thank you both for your willingness to help! The cage part measures approx: 3" x 3" x 1.5".
My feeling is the chain is not it's original chain it doesn't feel right.
My research has not yeileded much results, I know this type of coin purse has been made in the 60s to as late as the 80s (red ones)
Thanks pincoke for helping me out! During photographing I noticed something on the hinge that will help! It is definitely not very old as it has "HONGKONG" stamped on the inside hinge! Hadn't spotted this before. Suddenly I think it is less interesting!!

Thanks again

Yes I agree it doesn't look terribly old, the way the hinge is attached helps as there are no rivets or pins, rather it has some spot welding.
