Help dating this dress with no labels

Hi,

I really hope you guys can help me dating this dress.
It is a selfmade dress, probably from the 60's. The story with the dress is that the owner bought this dress in a second hand shop in Amsterdam in the year 1980. Now our question is: how old is this dress? Was it quite new when it came in the second hand shop, or was it already old when it was sold there?
The fabric is cotton.

Can you tell if the hem has been taken up? With the side zip, I wonder if it might a little earlier, 1950s, but shortened. Either that or early 1960s, I would think.

It's hard to be sure with a handmade dress.

Ineke, see if you can tell by the inside of the hem, you may be able to see from how it is sewn.

The hem is hand sewn. I think it is shortened.
