Help dating this lovely silk top

Hi everyone!

I'd love some help with this silk top that I have. It has no markings or tags on the inside so I'm having trouble dating it. It has wide bell sleeves, a tie neck and this lovely lace detailing down the front. Any help would be great!

It is a bed jacket and the work is very similar to what you find on older silk blouses and lingerie from China. These were made for export.

I'm not sure it's from the 30s, as these were being produced even into the early 60s.

This one could be an older model. Usually it's the type of silk being used that helps to id it. The older ones tended to be a softer and slightly thicker silk than the ones from the early 60s.

Thanks for your input everyone! I'm always impressed with your collective wealth of knowledge!

In regards to Mary Jane's post, this is indeed a thicker and softer silk than you see nowadays so perhaps is it 30s/40s?

I agree with the others: Chinese silk bedjacket. I also agree that the dating could be hard, as the style was made for a while. Whilst it looks like it could be '30s, they were made up to the '60s and that's fifty years old now. I can't be sure from the photos, but it looks like it could be a fuji silk, which is thicker, feels a bit like cotton.
