I found this lovely and am not sure about the era. The now defunct Millers Department Store will always have a special place in my heart growing up in Knoxville. The skirt has a side metal zipper. I have pictures and for the life of me can't get them posted here, so here are some links.

A HA! I have found some ads for Handmacher, and it is very similar to their early 50s suits advertised. I think I have figured it out! My apologies and thank you for your time!

Thanks everyone! It has the slightest of shoulder pads. I fell in love with it immediately. And if I can brag for a moment... I have to share what I paid for it... A whole .20. That's right, twenty cents. It is in pristine condition, I wonder if it was ever worn. Honestly, the condition is what was throwing me off the most lol

Twenty cents! I want to shop where you're shopping! Congrats on an AMAZING deal :sunshine:

haha it was actually one of the Thrift Stores I don't normally shop at because usually they are pretty over priced. I popped in on my lunch by chance one day. Apparently their warehouse is so full that they decided to bring in all their winter stock the night before and sell it for a dime a piece. Needless to say I have been spending my lunch hour there every day since, as they just keep adding stuff for a dime. I will probably be showing another piece or two I got there, a shocking pink velvet coat and a black capelet that I haven't given up on finding information on my own yet lol I made out like a bandit!
