Hello all! I’m having trouble pinning down a date on this gorgeous piece!

Brand label only: California Girl’s Junior Edition
No size/care/fabric content tags
Tweed (presumably wool and/or acrylic blend?)

Tailored blazer/jacket with notch lapel; fitted sleeves; hits at hip
Fox fur collar; appears to have come with jacket, has identical fabric as jacket lining, stitched “anchors” to lapel sides
Original lambskin leather cord belt at natural waist (peplum look when tied)
Hidden snaps (silver toned, stamped 505 with a star)
Fully lined in black viscose/rayon
No shoulder pads
24"L with 21" sleeves

I’m thinking 1950s but I suppose could be anywhere from 1940s-60s? The “Junior Edition” and label style throws me off.

I’ve tried all sorts of searches trying to find info on the brand. Lots of California Girl pieces but haven’t come across any "Junior Edition." Any history/information on the brand would be appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Is the belt sewn on, or did you discover them together? Wondering because it doesn't seem to match exactly, and , may be of a later era. Also, are you able to tell if the collar and the snaps are original? Those also could be additions! I am getting a feeling this was embellished by the original owner, to personalize - which definitely makes it more difficult to pin down.
