Help Dating Vintage Cape

Hello,

Can anyone help me date this cape? The tassels show some age but otherwise it's in pretty good condition. I would guess pre-1920 but I'm no expert on the era. Thanks in advance!

It's kinda hard to see the detail on this one enough to give an informed opinion.

Are there any labels? is it lined? Can you show a pic of the collar area? What is the fabric? Can you show a close-up?

There aren't any labels and it isn't lined. Unfortunately I'm terrible with fabrics so I can't help out with that one. Thanks!

Nicola, I think you have a costume piece rather than older garment - it would be really helpful if you were able to test or identify the materials. You could do a burn test or take it to a fabric shop for their help - the cording looks synthetic to me, which would date it as probably no older than 1960s. If it were silk it could be much, much older but it's hard to tell from the photos and the information available.
