Hi all,
I have been collecting mesh accessories since Oct last year. I have mostly vintage Glomesh branded items in my collection. I found this Whiting & Davis branded bag recently and was hoping to get some help in dating it.
Its a petite size measuring approximately 18cm width and 12cm height. It is made from gold mesh with a fabric lining. It has a scalloped metal frame and kiss lock clasp. It features a metal chain handle.
Inside there is a fabric brand tag. Its engraved with the maker's name and made in USA. It also has a number 2924. I'm hazarding a guess that it may be from the 1940's?
I've attached some photos for reference. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
