On comparing labels on the internet, even though part of my label is missing I am positive that this is
"Land N Sea" by Terry Lee. the label would have had Terry Lee at the bottom in board more or less script/cursive. There may or not have been a pelican and a post.
Its a cute 3 piece set - sleeveless top, skirt and capri pants that i didn't photo yet. These are preliminaries. Manni photos coming later. zipper is metal on pants.
I need help describing the pattern.
Scan is truer to color.
And dating it accurately. I bought it as 50s, but had my suspicions it might be later.
Jonathan said in another thread about the tops of full skirts being gathered in the early 60s or 1960 on the nose, but 50s skirts being A-Line if you took em apart so that's the reason why i am thinking early 60s versus 50s. Skirt is shown with a crinoline. Would be more apparent when I put it on the manni. I also think the skirt was meant to be worn as a cover up over the capri pants to make you dressier. The skirt doesn't overlap enough if you were running or taking big steps so that is why i think so...unless you wore something under it that you wanted to show like a crinoline peeping out.

My thoughts weren't too organized up there!
