Help Describing Lime Green Wool Kimberly Dress

hello,

I have this gorgeous lime green wool knit Kimberly 2-piece dress.

it's super duper cute but I need some help describing the style, etc.

I'm really not sure what to call the style or type of "over-top".

the set is in very good condition except for some wear on the gold-tone buttons

I'd be tempted to call the over top a bolero...others may disagree.

i believe it's 1960's based on the style and label

I'd call the top a waistcoat, maybe a cropped waistcoat, and the dress with those buttoned straps, a pinafore dress. Don't know if these descriptors may be a UK thing.
