help determining era of wooden platforms

Hello,

I'm having trouble pinning down a date on these platforms. I know the brand, Mia, was established in the mid 70s but I have some concerns and wonder if these may be 1990s or later? They're still making shoes today so I want to be sure before I list. I would love a second opinion. Thank you!

They look 70's except for the soles being deeply grooved like that, a thinner gravel texture rubber is what I normally find on 70's platforms like this.

Do they have any material content marked on them?

Thank you for your reply. It's difficult to discern from my photo, but the inner stamp reads 'leather upper, made in Brazil'...

Definetly going for modern now, I took a look at the website, their current logo is the same and the chunky soles are a feature on many of their current shoes. Sorry! Being marked with the country of original is also a modern feature, though I don't know when/if this became a requirement. Many modern shoes are being made in the country the leather comes from such as Brazil or Spain.

Just thought another difference between 70's and later copies is the font colour on 70's shoes is nearly always stamped in a contrast ink like gold, silver or black on a lighter background, they really wanted it to stand out, rather than tonal shades as they do now.

The soles were my main concern, so I'm inclined to agree with you. Although the font does appear to be a black ink stamped on a lighter background and seems to have faded a bit from wear. That being said, I think at this point I'd just like to determine whether they are modern as in 1990s, or modern as in 'present day' because I know there is some interest in 90s platforms at the moment so that would be a marketing point in selling them. Either way, I won't be selling them as vintage- I just want to get the decade fairly accurate.

I would have said modern within the last few years as they are making very similar pairs currently on their website. 90's tend to have the heel slanting back in under the arch, or splayed out backwards.
