Help determining fur type - looks like human hair

Hello!
Here I have this fabulous suede coat with an interesting fur trim.. it's so soft and silky, with fairly long hairs that have a waviness to them. Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Hi Birdie,

Very pretty. I concur with Linn. The trim is curly lamb or sheep and the rest is shearling. A lamb is a sheep that is under 1 year old. As it gets older the fur develops more and the curl loosens. Shearling is sheep that has been sheared on one side and has soft or suede leather on the other side.

I've never seen one with a label quite like that.
Does it say Mr. Andrew or McAndrew

I can see it says import and yours states Made in Turkey. I too was under the impression these earlier ones were made in Afghanistan in the 60s & 70s. With that label, I would think it is more the 70s.

Kate Hudson as the character Penny Lane wore something along this same style in the movie Almost Famous which came out in the year 2000. The film was set in 1973. The coat Kate wore though was much more stylized as it was made for the film and had a 20s styling to it as well.
