I am a volunteer at Seattle's Museum of History and Industry where I vacuum vintage apparel in the museum's extensive collection. We discovered a dress which our curator dated to the late 1880s bearing the label below. We are unable to discern who this Parisian designer is based on the label writing. Can you identify? Many thanks.

Hi Christine I moved your post to a new thread in the Q&A section - the labels thread isn't for questions.

    Hope someone can help you.

How interesting, I looked up the address as I can't honestly make out the name and this same address houses an important School for Hand Embroidery.

It is Raudnitz. Ernest Raudnitz was a very well known couture garment maker of the time in Paris. I believe the rest of the letters spell out either " & Co." or "et Cie".
