Help identifying a hat

Can anyone identify this hat, to me it looks like possibly a stratoliner style hat, but I’m not a hat expert. This is the only picture I have and it’s not of good quality.
Also, the photo is from sometime in the 40’s

Could it be a homburg? It looks to have the single dent and slightly curled brim.. although I am claiming absolutely no authority on men’s hats.. I only really recognise the most popular styles!
 
This is difficult to determine from just the photo, as you know. It is a take off on a man's Western hat, similar to the popular "Open Road" style but the brim being turned up on this one. It is not a Homberg. Impossible to say who the maker was. Each maker would usually give their hats a style name that differed from maker to maker, even if they looked exactly the same. For instance, the "Open Road" was so extremely popular it was copied by a number of major hat makers, each giving it their own made up style name such as "Vagabond", etc.
