Help Identifying Designer & pinpointing date of this sublime 1920's-30's Gown

Hello, This gown was a gift - it came from the same source from whence many of my high-end museum quality pieces without labels came (Poiret, etc) and I wondered if this piece, which has no label, might be another potential special piece - does anyone recognize the designer? I don't know if it's obvious from the photos, but the skirt has alternating layers of sheer silk chiffon between the layers of solid silk charmeuse - quite daring for the time if worn without a slip! Also , although I think this gown dates from the late 20's or early 30's, could anyone more accurately pinpoint the vintage? Thanks in advance for your expertise!

From my understanding of the flapper couture even for those ladies showing the top part of your leg would be going a little too far,
I feel it would have been worn with a under dress or if it's 30's then a long slip.
In my view the bodies has a 20's look to it but the skirt seams to be more like the 30's in style
I think it's better to wait for some one else to come up with there view on the date.

Hi Pauline, Thanks for your response. I was wondering about an under-slip also, especially since I noticed the slip strap holders with the tiny snaps on the interior of the shoulders. I have been researching, looking for anything similar and I found a Chanel gown from the same era with the same alternating vertical panels on the skirt, it had an under-slip. I also saw a Vionnet with the same treatment. If anyone sees any signature or could tell what to look for, I would appreciate it! Thanks
