Help identifying Euro (German?) brand label

Hi there - I'm new here so hopefully this is in line with your standard request format - I have a wool & poly blend ladies' skirt suit with a label I can't seem to find. Was hoping someone here might be able to identify. I was assuming it was German due to the first size listed, and also assuming it is vintage as the third size is noted as GB. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially as I am not certain of the second letter. Could be a G, a C, an S??? Thanks in advance!!!

I think that label is M & G and when I Googled:

"M & G" german clothing

I found that same label, as you see HERE.

Yes, old German typescript - it's M & G. German size 44 / US size 16 / UK size 18. Can you show the whole item please so that we may help with dating? Are there any other labels? Is there zipper - what type?

It is a skirt suit - very pretty, marked as wool / polyester blend. I don't get a super old feeling based on the labels & hardware, but I just can't find hardly any info about this brand. Can anyone share additional background about M & G? Thanks again!

Nice suit. I think it's 1990s, mid... and, yes, German.

Agree, this is a fairly new item. It is made in the style of dirndl or trachten - the traditional dress style of regions like Bavaria. I am not familiar with the brand, but I did a bit of searching around and it seems M & G stands for Moser & Göttlicher. According to the German trade register (https://www.online-handelsregister....in/M/Moser+&+Göttlicher+GmbH+&+Co.+KG/1236737)
the company was liquidated in 2014 and and their entry deleted from the register in 2015. I've see a few items listed on Ebay Germany, that all look fairly recent too. I have unfortunately not found any info since when the company was in operation.

It looks like Midge skillfully found the company name for you, as I found many for-sale items attributed to them, and having the exact same label as yours.

I don't think I've got a lot more Google-fu (and Lynne definitely is the best at searching out info), but I do live in Switzerland, and I searched websites in German. Always happy to help with these searches.

Well that certainly helps My German is pretty much limited to hello and thank you. Very good to know that you are in Switzerland - could have used your help when I was hunting for info on a book about Engadin! Also, jealous - it's so beautiful there!
