Help Identifying Fur Cape - Is this Mink?

Hi - I have a vintage fur cape from I believe the 1950s labeled 'Nigbor Furs'. The fur resembles mink, however, it's softer than I usually equate with mink. The under fur is soft and plentiful yet the guard hairs are longer and very lustrous. After going through the fur resource, i think this could then just be non-sheared mink, possibly female, but since I'm not 100% on it, i wanted to double check. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Brooke

Hi Brooke, Definitely not mink fur. I am unable to see the edges of the pelts to confirm with 100% certainty but it looks like Muskrat that was dyed to look like Mink.

Thanks Caryn! Let me see if I can get a better pic of the edges for you. I am very glad I checked in on this one!
Here are 2 more images - not sure if they'll help but they are closer-up images of the fur.

Thank you. That's not exactly what I was looking but those close ups of the guardhair are helpful. I am 99.95% sure it's Muskrat. :) You did show me the edges but I should have been more clear. Muskrat is often worked together with each pelt narrowing and coming to a point at the end where the next pelts is connected. When multiple Muskrat pelts are worked together side by side a zig zag pattern it created at the seams. Sometimes this is not as easily visible in Muskrat capes and stoles because fewer pelts are used, the pelts are sometimes worked together without showing the narrowed and pointed portions of the pelts, and sometimes the longer guardhair covers those pelt ends hiding the seams well. The bottom of the garment is squared so you wouldn't see any points there.
Let me show you two images of Muskrat fur that looks similar to yours. You can see the fur is dyed in a similar fashion to yours, you may also be able to see the similarity in the guardhair.

In the wider image below you may or may not be able to make out just a hint of the points in one or two places on each side that is intended to be hidden under the fur. The fur just looks a bit disturbed there and I can see one just about an inch down from the top on the right side and maybe 2 or 3 inches down on the left side.
