Help identifying fur type

Hi, can anyone help me to identify what type of fur this is please? We think it's at least 70 years old and there is no label with any information on it. The photos show a reddish tint that is dark brown to the naked eye.

It's something that has been dyed to look like fox except fox has longer hairs, It is older - it could even be 1910s

Thank you....any thoughts as to what it could be? I presume if it's masquerading as fox then it would be something perhaps like rabbit, not as expensive? I really have no idea of furs or their value.
Are you basing the idea of it's age on how it is put together/style/lining?
