Hi everyone. I have 2 fur items I need help identifying. One cape from the 40s and one stole. The cape is extremely soft fur, if you blow on it it will part. The stole is dense but not mink. Any help would be appreciated. Also any tips on repairing splits? Thank you!

Hi there, The darker brown stole is muskrat. I am having difficulty Id'ng the cape. I cannot see the full pelt definition and the guard hair along the hem and opening edges is worn which I use in part of my identification. If you can show an image of the fur laying flat open I may be able to see the pelt definition better.

Thank you Caryn, I will take another pic tomorrow

Thanks Lynn. Those images are very small and what I was hoping to see was a photo of the entire back laid out like a blanket.

I will try and take it my furier for ID. The person I aquiared it from thought it was sable. Since I've never seen a sable coat in person I have no reference. Thank you any ways
