Help identifying numbered but unsigned vintage necklace/earring

Hello,

Recently acquired this set and am trying to identify the designer/manufacturer. Well made, solid weight with no tarnish, indicating a better costume jeweller, and stamped 1370 on both the necklace and earrings. Necklace is just under 15.5"; earrings are 3/4" and clip backs. Have come up empty. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for the information you can also do
  • Check for hallmarks or stamps
  • Research jewelry styles and eras
  • Seek expert opinion
  • Utilize online resources

The stamps are noted in my OP.
I have researched styles and eras, but this one could be anytime between 50s and 80s, is my guess.
I have already exhausted online resources.
I'm seeking an opinion here because I'm told many vintage experts hang out here. Where else to find them? I don't want to email every vintage jewellery retailer I find on the net; it seems rude to ask of their time and expertise if I'm not a customer and they haven't volunteered their expertise.

@mad1964 we are glad you brought your question to this forum. You are right that a lot of "vintage experts hang out here".

Unfortunately, we seem to be attracting AI spam bots recently, meaning new guests who post irrelevant and unhelpful "advice" in response to legitimate questions. The guest you are quoting registered last night, and their comment ignores all of the information shared in your original post - almost certainly AI generated. Please ignore.

On the plus side, your thread is now bumped, and more likely to be seen by an experienced jewelry who can help.

On the plus side, if this is the best AI can do, maybe we needn't worry! Ha!

So, the plot thickens. I'm leaning very much in the direction of D'Orlan. I found several pieces from D'Orlan and Nina Ricci that utilize similar techniques (D'Orlan designed for Nina Ricci in the 80s). The D'Orlan bracelet uses a tag as the design didn't lend itself to a stamp, so perhaps my necklace is missing a tag? And then I found an almost identical Avon necklace. It's common practice for a designer to design derivatives of their own pieces then license these derivatives. I've attached pictures here of some of the pieces I found, including the Avon one. There are several pieces of this Avon necklace for sale, and the sellers tell me theirs are not stamped 1370 but just Avon. I've contact Avon to see if they can help; will update if I ever get a response.

Avon was of no help; they said they don't keep that information (which I find improbable, but what can I do?). Does anyone have any ideas about the various Avon designs? I've heard conflicting reports as to whether Nina Ricci designed for Avon: some say the NR stamp represents Ricci, while others say, no, the stamp represents the factory. Any thoughts?
