Help identifying the style/era/material of this Gwenn Pennington hat?

Hello everyone! I have this Gwenn Pennington hat that I am planning to list, but I unfortunately am at a loss as to what this particular style of hat is called. It's taller than a beret, it almost reminds me of something Equestrian inspired...I did do some research and have discovered that Gwenn Pennington was an esteemed hat maker and that she made hats from the 50s to the 70s, but does anyone have any idea as to what specific decade this particular hat is from? Additionally, it appears to be a genuine fur, either a sheared mink or perhaps a sheared beaver (I myself am not a fur expert) and there is a word written on the interior, it looks like it might be "Caravellu". If anyone has any additional information, I'd be incredibly appreciative! Thank you in advance!!

Hi,
the fur felt may be beaver. I interned with a milliner who often used vintage beaver felts for her hats; they were lovely and very soft/silky.

I agree with Barbara: very late '50s to early '60s fur felt. The interior gives it away - if it were a fur, you'd see a leather sort of finish inside or it would be lined. Also, it would be heavier.

It's lovely! I think Caravello might be the manufacturer of the fur felt.

Hi everyone-thank you so much for your information and insight!! I appreciate it-thanks to all who replied, I appreciate you taking the time to help me :)!
