Any idea what this dress style would be called? I'm specifically interested in a term to describe the triangular-shaped fitted waist.

I have seen folks refer to that type of waist as "Cinderella style", but I don't think it is a commonly accepted term. Corselet is another term that might apply, although more commonly used for separate wide belt used over a dress to achieve the look.

In doing a bit of internet searching to look for supportive references, I came across an informative article on a website called thedreamstress that adds another historical term that I was unfamiliar with - the Swiss Waist. But the author says that the term corselet "...returned in the 1930s to describe the pointed-underbust midriff section so common in 1930s fashion".
