Help Identifying Vintage Fur Coat

Dear Fellow Vintage Hearts,

I'm new to post to these wonderful boards although I've been reading for about a month now. I think this is a fantastic site as is everyone who participates in it! I also hope to become a VFG member sometime soon and look forward to becoming friends with all of you! :sunshine:

I was hoping someone here could help me identify the fur on this vintage coat I'll be selling. I know nothing of furs. At all. Absolutely zilch! Any help you could give me would be GREATLY appreciated.

This is mink. It is actually small pieces of mink fur sewn together in a patchwork pattern and is commonly referred to as mink paw. Beautiful coat in a great color!

Thank you SOOOO much! I've been all over the internet for weeks now trying to find a coat that's even remotely similar in color and pattern and have had no luck. When all I needed to do is come here and ask. You are truly a lifesaver! :adore:

jody is spot on there..l thought the layered look odd ta firts, but that makes sense...
