I have a pair of Levi's 505 jeans that I'm having trouble dating. They have no patch tag on the outside (it appears they came that way. No evidence of one being removed). The button is stamped 217, the tag is on the inside of the fly and is unique to me. I've never seen one like it. I'm not sure these are even real, but if they are, what year might they have been made? Or at least decade....

These are much later than my expertise ....whatever that extends to...........all the work I did with Levis was with LVC, very seperate division than main stream Levis
The Small e on the label and the low cut suggests 1990s to me, maybe even later.
To be completely honest this is the first time I was aware of Levis using Canadian production. It makes sense, the locality of the country and the quality of work produced. My own company used back up Canadian manufacturing during the early 1990s, it was the best we could find outside The UK

Thanks for the input. Levi's definitely manufactured in Canada, but oddly enough, Canadian Levi's usually have a button stamped with the number "216" but these jeans have a button stamped with "217". So between that and the fact that the tag is in a different location and is a different style than I've yet to see has me curious if they are even authentic. Ive had a pair of 70's Levi's bell bottoms that had a similar (but not the same) tag but it was sewn into leg seam not zipper seam. This tag also has the "216" on the tag which matches the Canadian manufacturer code but doesn't match the button as it almost always does. These are really throwing me for a loop....doesn't help that there's no patch tag on waist or evidence that there ever was one....
