Help in dating a pair of orange tab Levis 505 Jeans

On the care tag it states made in brazil, but for the life of me I can't seem to find much information on levis orange tab made in brazil.

The style# is 40505-0215

Orange tab Levi's stopped being manufactured in the early 1990s. Those are definitely vintage because the 505 isn't followed by registered trademark. It stumps me as to why they were manufactured in Brazil if Levi's manufactured their jeans mostly in the USA. Is CGC written in the back of that tag? It's supposed to be followed by a number.

A lot of things were being manufactured or, often the case, pieced together over seas. Brazil was a popular place for this kind of thing late 80s to early 90s.
