On the care tag it states made in brazil, but for the life of me I can't seem to find much information on levis orange tab made in brazil.

The style# is 40505-0215

Orange tab Levi's stopped being manufactured in the early 1990s. Those are definitely vintage because the 505 isn't followed by registered trademark. It stumps me as to why they were manufactured in Brazil if Levi's manufactured their jeans mostly in the USA. Is CGC written in the back of that tag? It's supposed to be followed by a number.

The Orange tag levis were in the US in 80 and not very popular! I know because I bought because they were cheaper and learned quick that the red tag was a big deal! The orange tag were not stylish at all , they were old men’s work pants - cheapest line Levi made .

"Stylish" is in the eye of the beholder, and these don't look any less stylish than most Levi's jeans. I'm pretty sure I also owned orange-tag jeans at some point in the past. No complaints here.

If this topic weren't 6 years old, I would have asked the thread starter to post a photo of the tag with the style number. It may (possibly) have had a date code, as most Levi's shirts (made in Brazil, and many other countries around the world) did in the late 80's and throughout the 90's.
