I got these knockout shoes at a great deal. As I was looking at them, the original owner asked me what I wanted them for since I couldnt obviously get my big foot in there! I told her I collect vintage shoes, it wasnt really a lie lol.
So if anyone can help me with dating them, I would greatly appreciate it!

Cute shoes! Love those career girls. I'm going to wager a guess that the second ones are 50s and perhaps the 1st ones are too, but I'm not an expert - just a shoe enthusiast.

I'm sure someone will be by that knows more.

l'd say they were both cusper pairs, 70's/80's, but l always hesitate on shoes, knowing Jonathan will be along or lurking here soon..

The lady I bought them from said she use to wear them when she was young... walking to and from work in Toledo, Ohio. She was probably in her mid 70's Im assuming from the way she thought my foot was humongous!!! Im 5'4" and wear a 9.5 womens shoe... so maybe that is odd. I know my great grandma wore a size 4 when I was 8 and she died a year later, she was pretty old, the great grand-daughters inherited her shoes since we could all wear them lol.
From the looks of them and what little I have researched them, I figured they were early to mid 70s.

Janine,
Any idea what year they are from?

Also has anyone heard of Handmade Footwear by Gustave?
It says Gustave of the Virgin Islands on the inside of the shoes and the box says Gustave Fifth Avenue. They are pink crocheted slip on flats. I just bought them so I dont have any pics yet.

Thanks

I'm seeing '77-'79. This does not mean I'm 100% correct, of course.

Early 70's shoes have lower, chunkier heels.

You could describe them as mid-late 70's and that would be fine, depending on how specific you want to be.
