Help! Is this homemade peasant style dress 1970's or 40's...?

Hi all!

Hope you're all doing well. I would love to hear some feedback from you wonderful people on dating this dress. It is a cotton peasant style dress with an elasticated neckline and corset style waist. It has been handmade from cotton and has a metal COURT zipper that is central to the back. I've pinned her on my mannequin for most the photos.

It's a real head scratcher. The shape, style and zip is reminiscent of that mid 1940s peasant dress trend, but it's a little longer than traditional 40s length plus the zip at the back is more unusual for the timer. Could it be maybe more 50's? OR it's a standard 70's peasant style dress that has perhaps paid homage to the earlier style?

I just can't get to the bottom of it. It's been handmade, is un-lined and features no other real defining signs of its age. It's in very good condition regardless!

Thank you in advance for your help! <3

My vote is for 70s, based on the patchwork quilt print. I've never seen that kind of print used for earlier garments. Let's see what others think.
