I’d agree on 1950s actually, or perhaps just a little earlier. I’d call it a corsolet rather than a corset - that might help your research. I think they reached peak popularity in the 40s from memory.. but could be wrong as not something I sell often these days.
 
I know very little about corsets and am trying to educate myself...
What makes you say 1950s? Franky, I would have thought it was a modern garment but WDIK.
Phoebe, can you show a full photo of the back and a photo of the inside of the entire thing, please?


My first instinct was to say 40s but I haven't seen much lingere from then or researched much. More dresses than anything.
But based on the way its sewn the white fabric lining. The seams on the cups the seams inside the fabric the way its sewn.
The one set of hook and eye .

Also I wonder if it something of like very early shape wear or a corset cover for the late 40s or early fifties . Doesn't seem like it would cinch u in alot.
