Help me date this Deitsch handbag please!

I picked this beauty up tonight and was hoping someone would be on line tonight to help me date it.

I didnt get the photo of the logo, but it is the alligator design and says Deitsch just below that in gold foil.

:fainting: Wow! That's some fantastic bag you have there! I'm not a huge fan of skin bags and don't know much about 'gator, but that is one bag that can follow me home any day.

It doesn't "scream" a specific date to me, but I'm getting an early 50's feel from it. However, but for that awesome shape it looks pretty classic/timeless--and I'm not a handbag maven.... Hopefully somebody will come along who knows more than I do!

Usually I can get pretty close on an age of bags, but this one I just cant figure out.

That's gorgeous! I love the unusual shape, and the way the metal strip down the center of the frame is self-lined in skin...

What size is it? The clasp and interior could be 50s or 60s, though I agree with Anne on the early-ish vibe...

The size may provide a helpful clue!

cm: it measures 8 by 2 1/2 by 5. The strap has a 6 inch drop.

vert: I looked at that site, but I dont see what you are seeing in reference to this bag being 50's. Is it that they didnt start using the alligator logo until then? Or the fram of the bag or clasp? Just for my learning purposes. thanks!

I can definitely get a 50's vibe from it. I fell lucky to have found it!
