Help me date this FABULOUS Black Gab Coat

[Bombshell*Frocks]

I'm thinking late 40's early 50's on this coat but want to be sure... I'm pretty sure its cotton gabardine, its very heavy.

It has huge shoulder pads and wide bracelet length sleeves that have the most gorgeous button decorated pointed cuffs, it is lined in black satin, haha not much help am I....The coat is pitch black and not washed out as the pictures show...

Labeled, Bradley, New York, no other tags....

I think you are right on with the dating.

That is a fabulous coat and looks like one I saw in an old movie the other day. Seems it was filmed in 49.

OT: Most of ya'll know that I had my gallbladder removed about a month and a half ago, well I am having the EXACT same symptoms, horrific pain below my right breast and stomach distention/swelling (looks like I'm pregnant). I am seeing my surgeon tomorrow as after researching on google I think it may be a blocked bile duct or a leaking bile duct or the dang gallbladder grew back!! (joking)
I am SOOOOO discusted and can't believe this is happening to me again, it's just NOT fair.
