Help me date this suit?

I know this has to be post 1950 as according to the resource the Ben Zuckerman label came into use that year (he was in partnership beforehand). I am thinking early to mid 50s?

As with everything I am a little bit in love with it but I can't keep it all (much as it looks like I do when you look in my wardrobe - of which I have been given a lovely new HUGE one by a neighbour :D!)

It's a beauty Harriet, I would date it to about 1954.

Something about it makes me think of the old TV show with Eve Arden where she played a high school teacher in the Our Miss Brooks series which ran from 1952 - 1956

Thanks Mary Jane! I found an ad from '53 which was similar in shape, so 54 sounds good.

I really want to wear it (it's much blue-er in reality) but I think I currently have 6 suits of my own and wear approximately none of them!

Haven't measured it yet but it's decent, I'm guessing a 28 or 9 " waist

I was thinking somewhere around 1954, too. Not really early fifties, but more early part of the mid fifties.

I only know one thing - I love it!!! Makes me want to go back and work in an office just to wear it!
