Help me identify this hat style?

I found this at an estate sale with a lot of 50s and 60s clothing, so I'm guessing this hat fits in that era. There's no label; I think it was custom made to go with a particular dress.

Can anyone tell me what this hat style is called?

Thanks!

Hello,

That is a very pretty hat and a great color. Hat styles, specifically the names used to describe a certain shape or style, have often changed over the decades. With that in mind, what we think of today as a "cloche" or a "turban" for instance, may not always resemble what a hat was referred to when it was made. This hat, when it was made, was probably described as a bonnet style. Of course it does not really resemble the Victorian and early 20th century bonnets, does it? But to be correct from a millinery history standpoint, that is exactly what it is. A bonnet. And a very cute one!
